FIELD TO FORK - INITIAL TEAM DAY EXPERIENCE |
An inital Team Development Day with a difference. Builds on trust and communication, challenging and raising awareness of where and how our food is produced.
The day begins with the woodland low level rope team challenge which builds on trust and communication in forming the group into a single working unit to solve problems. An integral part of the process is the review and feed back session afterwards. - Meet the group and transport to woods with refreshments and brief

- Lunch – Indulge in home cooked local produce
Then onto Field to Fork Experience; to understand the cycle of food production and discussion on the importance and role of traceability, food miles and seasonality.
- Tour of growing crops
- Meet and feed the pigs with crops grown
- Visit on site butchery and make your own sausages
- Taste challenge - sample sausages from a range of outlets
- Crop identification challenge – in groups decide and match products to crops
- Home or away challenge – in groups decide what’s grown when/where
- Review/feedback and evaluations with in house certification
